When recruiting a full stack engineer, experience in both frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js) and backend (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java) technologies is crucial. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop complex applications from user interface to server-side logic and database management.
It is important that the full stack engineer has experience with a variety of database systems, both SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis). The candidate should understand the principles of data modelling and effective data management.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI) is important to automate the processes of testing, deploying and scaling applications. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to configure and manage application infrastructure.
The full stack engineer must have an understanding of web application security, including authentication, authorisation, securing data communication (HTTPS, TLS) and protecting against common attacks (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection).
The ability to run unit, integration and E2E tests is essential. The candidate should be familiar with tools such as Jest, Cypress, Selenium to validate applications at different levels.
